At DongDeng Indonesia Foundation, we are driven by a passion to create meaningful experiences and bring people together through our meaningfull initiatives. Established with a vision to make a positive impact, our team is dedicated to fostering creativity, collaboration, and growth in everything we do. As we embark on this journey, we are committed to staying true to our purpose, ensuring that every step we take aligns with our core values.
OUR STORY

19th October, Seoul.
A date and city that’s close to and etched in every DongDeng’s heart, as it is the birth date and city of our beloved Kim Ji Won. For us at DongDeng Indonesia Foundation, the date and city are of double significance. It is also the birth date and city of the idea to bring together DongDengs in Indonesia (and even beyond!) and house all of us under a legal entity.
Aptly so, the brainwave struck our four founding DongDengs during a café event they had organised in celebration of our Ding’s birthday. They had explicitly gone to Seoul to mark Ji Won’s birthday with a celebratory event where commemorative gifts were given and exchanged. Even more meaningful, they met and connected with fellow DongDengs, not only from South Korea but also from all over the world who had gathered in Seoul just for
Ji Won’s birthday. Of course, it was Ji Won who brought the four founders together albeit virtually in a chat group that was created in June 2024 ahead of the August 2024 ‘Be My One’ Fan Meeting (FM) in Jakarta.
From then on, they were in constant communication until the much-anticipated FM date of 31st August 2024 when they finally met in person. Their ‘DongDengship’ further strengthened, on 26th September 2024, together with some others, they went on to plan the birthday celebration event in Seoul which was held to much success over two days until 20th October 2024.
Upon the founders’ return from Seoul, the legal process began in November 2024, having chosen to be established as a foundation which would also enable it to carry out charity and community projects in keeping with the giving and caring spirit of Ji Won.
To our great joy and delight, DongDeng Indonesia Foundation was legally established on 2nd December 2024.

VISION AND MISSION
VISION
To be a united Kim Ji Won fandom community that contributes positively to society especially in Indonesia, spreads goodwill that inspires particularly among the younger generation through values of dedication, creativity, hard work and mutual respect as exemplified by Kim Ji Won and to spawn a global level society that is competitive, inclusive and harmonious.
MISSION

United Community: Develop and grow a network of Kim Ji Won fans who are resilient, inclusive, respectful, cooperative, supportive and become a conducive hub for the sharing of joy and inspiration.

Social Activities Contribute towards and undertake social and charity work such as fundraising, donation and/or voluntary work to assist those in need.

Positive Inspiration Share and spread
Kim Ji Won’s positive energy and enthusiasm to the public at large through campaigns, projects and creative activities that support and enhance education, wellbeing and health.

Cultural Bridge Serving as a cultural bridge between Indonesia and South Korea by creating awareness of Korean culture via
Kim Ji Won’s works whilst respecting and supporting Indonesian culture.

Member Development Provide development and growth opportunities for members such as participation at workshops, courses and/or activities that support and encourage talent and creativity.
